Merlie and I were fortunate to get a clear view of the total lunar eclipse Thursday night right from our front porch in Goleta. Clear skies between storms.
Here are three views. The first was at 10:22PM. The second was at 10:40PM. And the third was during totality at 11:47PM. I set the camera to its lowest ISO to bring out maximum detail and color saturation. A tripod was essential for the photo during totality as the blood moon emits rather dim light. It is also necessary to use a timer for the shutter release to avoid vibration.
And here are all three side by side.

Thanks, Robert! I enjoyed seeing it with my naked eye. I love seeing these photos, too.
The lunar eclipse brought out a surprising number of viewers for a late night event. We were fortunate to get such a clear view here between storms. Thank you for your kind words, Ahchooo.
