Anyone know what’s up with that extremely loud aircraft that flew over west side of Santa Barbara about 830-8:40pm? It’s not the first time I’ve heard this loud jet in the sky, but never has it been right over me but it always overwhelmes any other noises and just roars with noise even when I can’t see it and it’s far away. It was pretty awesome to see and hear it right over me for once. Curious what it was though? Anyone know?

Visible in the night sky were two bright lights, possibly engines. The noise physically hurt the ears of those sitting nearby where I was walking my dog. My dog wet himself in fright. Many people came out of their homes to see what it was. What was it? Why was it allowed to fly directly over Santa Barbara around 8:30p?

Did anyone else hear (or see) the noise in the sky at about 8:35 PM today? It sounded like a jet but it lasted longer than just a jet passing in the sky. I didn’t get a chance to see it but I certainly heard it. A neighbor texted she saw green, red, and white lights. Kind of interesting and cool.
According to Flightradar24 it was an Osprey. It was loud and actually shook my house.
