Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue (SBCSAR) responded to a call for lost and dehydrated hikers near Tunnel Trail on Friday night.
Crews were dispatched at 9:18 p.m. and learned the hikers had summited nearby peaks but became disoriented in the darkness.
“Feeling dehydrated and unsure of their location, they made the right decision to call for help,” SBCSAR stated.
Team members quickly located them, provided water, assessed them to be in good condition, and guided them down the trail to awaiting rescue vehicles.
The hikers were then transported down the Tunnel Trail catway to their vehicle.
