Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection and discovered two male occupants of the motorcycle had sustained severe injuries. Life-saving efforts were administered by police, fire, and EMTs. Both individuals were taken to area hospitals. Unfortunately, the adult male rider later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The juvenile rider is currently in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene, was not injured, and is cooperating with investigators. At this time, it does not appear drugs or alcohol played a factor in the collision.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Lompoc Police Department.
