Lompoc Police Arrest Santa Barbara Man for Child Abuse

In October 2025, the Lompoc Police Department received information regarding a case involving the grooming of an underage female by an adult male, which ultimately led to unlawful sexual acts occurring over several years.

Through investigation, Ricardo Romero was identified as the suspect. Detectives obtained a search and arrest warrant for Romero on multiple felony charges.

On November 12, 2025, at approximately 9:00 AM, Lompoc Police Detectives located and arrested Romero in Lompoc pursuant to the warrant. He is currently in custody with bail set at $100,000.00.

The Lompoc Police Department is asking if there are any additional victims or anyone with more information to contact Detective Renner.
