Suspect(s) : Warren Gregory Keller 41 YOA Lompoc Resident
On 04/24/2024, the Lompoc Police Department became aware of possible attempted extortion by Warren Keller, through social media. A victim reported that Keller attempted to extort money from him in exchange for not posting damaging information about him.
On 07/24/2025, another victim came forward, stating that Keller had extorted him via social media and was trying to extort more money from him.
Then, on 08/04/2025, a third victim reported to the Lompoc Police Department that Keller had extorted hundreds of dollars from him since April 2024, again in exchange for not posting information about him.
LPD detectives investigated the three cases, and on 08/07/2025, they obtained a search and arrest warrant for Keller. He was taken into custody around 1730 hours and booked into the LPD jail on his Ramey Warrant for three charges of 518 PC – Extortion.
Keller received an additional charge of 524 PC – Attempted Extortion that occurred while Detectives were seeking the search and arrested warrant. Keller’s bail is set at $55,000.
During the investigation, LPD detectives discovered that there might be more victims of Keller who have not yet come forward. The Lompoc Police Department strongly encourages any potential victims to contact them and speak with Detective Mauricio Calderon.

Prosecute him to the full extent of the law as a hold-up man. It’s sneakier than robbing with a gun, but blackmail is involved and that makes it weaponized.
Heck yeah. Anyone using social media to criminally harass or extort money from others is a pure loser. I wish we had tougher laws here. He’ll probably do zero time and look to get back at his garbage program again real soon. I hope I’m wrong.
