Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that a felony complaint has been filed against Anthony Allen Robinson, 44, and Heather June Robinson, 46, both of Lompoc. It is
alleged that the couple defrauded investors as part of a house “flipping” scheme.

The Robinsons are charged with 23 felony counts including conspiracy to commit contracting without a license, conspiracy to commit grand theft, diversion of construction funds, procuring a false instrument, securities fraud, money laundering, and identity theft. The complaint includes an allegation that the Robinsons took in excess of $500,000.00.

The Robinsons were arrested yesterday and are both being held on $300,000 bail. They will be arraigned on the complaint on Monday July 2, 2018.

Well, maybe these two were worse than the "victims" but based on historic evidence, the people putting money up in these schemes had reason to suspect that it was on the edge. Trying to beat the system and get more than is reasonable makes you vulnerable to cons. Just like the Madoff "victims" these are not without soiled hands.
