YourDailyPhotograph.com announced the selection of Santa Barbara artist Felice Willat to the “YourDailyPhotograph.com Hot 100 of 2021” list. Felice beat 4,500 artists from around the world to take home the prestigious honor.
Felice said she was thrilled to be selected among these very talented fine art photographers.
YourDailyPhotograph.com is the industry’s leading online journal for international collectors of fine art photography. Artists named to the influential list are selected by a panel of experts. The selection committee does not accept applications for entry into the annual award program, instead, winners are selected based on the quality of the work produced.
“Most of my work is focused in two areas – what I call Lifescapes and Naturescapes,” said Felice. “Lifescapes capture contemplative lifestyle moments when people are at one with their work, their environment, or that moment in time. Naturescapes have an ephemeral, lyrical quality to them.”
“Engaging with my camera takes me out of ordinary reality and into the world of possibility where I thrive. I could capture a moment, something sacred or commonplace. I like to leave the familiar, travel to far-away places, and find the gift of being present. My goal is to arouse these emotions with my art.”
Felice is well established in the Santa Barbara artist community, exhibiting in Gallery Los Olivos, La Cumbre Center for the Creative Arts, and Santa Barbara Visual Artists in Paseo Nuevo. She has won numerous awards, most recently Outstanding Achievement (1st Place) at the International Color Awards for her best-selling piece, “Climbing Cardinals.”
