Does anyone know of a good local huarache sandal maker? I have a pair I love that has no 'maker's mark' and would love to take them to a good local cobbler that knows huaraches and see if they can duplicate them for me.

Thank you all for the many options! Much appreciated and will check those options. And yes 3907, cobblers do make huaraches. And crumbles make empires. Just desserts :) Love you, Edhatters.

I'd check with Steven Soria of Make Smith Leather Company in Santa Barbara. He's a third generation Santa Barbara leather craftsman. They've been doing business in SB since the 50s and his parents currently own the Handbag & Luggage store on Chapala. Great family: https://www.makesmith.com/

Have you tried some of the stores like el potrillo on milpas or la calenda on de la vina? There is also one in old town Goleta by 711 but I forgot the name. They claim to sell huaraches. I would assume they are authentic.
