Help support those impacted by the Camp Fire in Northern California by drinking Resilience IPA at local breweries.
Last month the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, based in Chico, made a rare move by publicly releasing their recipe for a new beer called “Resilience Butte County Proud IPA” and called upon national breweries to help.
The Camp Fire burned more than 153,000 acres, killed at least 85 people, and destroyed more than 13,000 homes. Many of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company’s employees and community members were severely impacted by this tragic event.
As part of the agreement, the global brewing company worked with suppliers to donate the ingredients to breweries, who would then make the beer, and donate 100% of the profits to the victims of the wildfire.
Over 1,400 breweries across the nation agreed, including several in Santa Barbara County: The Brewhouse, Draughtsman Aleworks, M.Special Brewing Company, Island Brewing Company, and Rincon Brewery.
Head brewer at The Brewhouse, Pete Johnson, announced they will be releasing their Resilience IPA on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. with a special event.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Company brewed more than 17,000 barrels, or 4.2 million pints, of Resilience Butte County Proud IPA.
