A significant fire erupted late Sunday night at Fire and Vice, a popular pizza restaurant located at 238 Highway 246 in Buellton, resulting in heavy damage to the establishment but no reported injuries.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department received the call at 11:38 PM, with firefighters arriving promptly to confront the growing inferno. The severity of the blaze led the incident commander on the scene to request a second alarm, bringing additional resources to combat the fire effectively.
After an intense struggle against the fire, the dedicated efforts of the firefighting teams led to the blaze being knocked down by 1:16 AM. The operation was focused on preventing the fire’s spread, with firefighters successfully ensuring that no adjacent businesses or structures were threatened or damaged.
Despite the successful containment of the fire to the standalone structure of Fire and Vice, the building sustained heavy damage. In the aftermath, firefighters remained on-site to conduct thorough searches for any fire extension into hidden areas and to perform a detailed mop-up of remaining hot spots within the damaged building.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
