On Saturday morning around 8:30am I was driving from Cliff Dr up Las Positas Rd toward the Elings park entrance.
Not far from Cliff Dr. in the middle of the northbound Las Positas Rd lane was a drone that had crashed. It looked like small 3’ airplane.
I had to slow down and drive around it. There is no mention of it anywhere that I can find. Does anyone know anything?
People fly radio controlled airplanes and gliders up there sometimes. Maybe someone’s hobby plane crashed? Bummer because those things can get expensive to fix!
I would have stopped and set the drone/plane off to the side of the road.
I suppose if it’s light enough but it sounds pretty big. Plus you’d be putting yourself at risk trying to get across Las Positas and back with everyone speeding down that road.
