A new apartment complex in Santa Maria has opened to residents as leasing officially begins.
Las Brisas, a 340-unit apartment complex developed by MBK Rental Living, is now leasing in Santa Maria. The development includes 340 units with one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts.
The property is located at 1001 W. Betteravia Road and is designed as a garden-style community, with construction completed earlier this year.

The design incorporates contemporary residential elements alongside the surrounding landscape. Ken McCarren, president of MBK Rental Living, said the project was designed to combine modern living with the natural landscape of Santa Maria.
Units range from 739 to 1,295 square feet and feature open layouts with natural light, according to a statement by MBK Rental Living.
Units include modern appliances and contemporary interior finishes. All units include private patios or balconies. Amenities include a swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness center.
Las Brisas also includes co-working areas and communal gathering spaces. Other amenities include a dog spa and adjacent dog park, along with a playground and pocket parks.
The project includes sustainability features as part of MBK Rental Living’s “With Our World” program. Features include electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle storage, energy-efficient LED lighting, and Energy Star-rated appliances, along with materials designed to reduce indoor emissions. A weekly recycling program is also offered.

The project comes amid continued demand for rental housing in Santa Barbara County and builds on the developer’s earlier presence in Santa Maria.
The property is located near retail, dining, and recreational amenities, with access to U.S. 101 and State Route 135. It is also within driving distance of coastal areas, wineries, and outdoor trails. MBK Rental Living previously developed the Azure apartment community in Santa Maria in 2020, which was sold in 2023.
Santa Maria’s economy includes aerospace, energy, manufacturing, and technology sectors, contributing to population growth.
