I took this picture a few years ago at San Clemente Island. I was amazed at how they have evolved their coloring among the Kelp wrack and Basalt rocks while scavenging and feeding along the shoreline there.

San Clemente Island – Club Dead, at least in Navy circles.
Nice photo.. I worked on San Nicholas Island 25 years ago. The foxes would come around whenever we would BBQ or eat outside. Even steal food from the trucks if not closed up. I was surprised at how small they really are.
