Injured Mountain Biker Airlifted to Hospital

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a medical emergency at 6:18 p.m. Sunday for an injured mountain biker in the backcountry.

The bicyclist and his son were riding in the backcountry of Carpinteria when the man began having a medical emergency close to the Upper Oso Campground on Buckhorn trail.

UTV’s assisted the victim and the patient was flown to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with injuries.

Near Upper Oso a Mountain Biker is down with an injury. The Fire, Medics, Copter 3 Search and Rescue are responding.
