Injured Hiker Rescued on Arlington Peak

By edhat staff

Santa Barbara County Search & Rescue responded to an injured hiker on Arlington Peak Trail Friday afternoon.

At 4:20 p.m., rescue crews along with county air support, AMR ambulance, and county firefighters arrived on the scene. Crews arrived halfway up the ridge toward Arlington Peak and discovered the injured hiker.

A rescue helicopter was then guided by crews on the ground who had first located the hiker to the exact location. The hiker was then airlifted off the trail to safety.

It is unclear at this time whether the injury was heat-related.
