Injured Hiker Helicoptered to Hospital

An injured hiker was helicoptered to safety on Saturday afternoon.

Santa Barbara County firefighters and a rescue helicopter responded to 19 Trails, approximately one mile up from the Upper Oso Campground in the Paradise Road area. 

A 26-year-old male hiker was discovered with a critical medical condition. He was hoisted to the rescue helicopter and transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
