Source: Santa Barbara County Fire Department

On Friday, Oct 9, Engine 23 (Sisquoc) received a call about an injured eagle on Palmer Road in northern Santa Barbara County.

The engine company went with the reporting party to the location and found an injured eagle that was unable to fly.

The crew carefully placed the raptor in a cardboard box and took it to Station 23 until Animal Control could pick it up, at which point it was taken to Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network in Goleta.
