Injured Bicyclist Airlifted to Hospital

A bicyclist sustained a major head injury near Los Alamos and was airlifted to the hospital Sunday evening.

Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to Highway 101 before 8:00 p.m. for an injured bicyclist. 

Upon arrival, crews found a female in her 20s had sustained a major head injury.

County firefighters and paramedics treated the patient on the scene until CalStar helicopter arrived for transportation to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
