A Public Informational Meeting for Prospective Commercial Cannabis Applicants will be held on December 5, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers located at 735 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, California 93101

The City of Santa Barbara is soliciting commercial cannabis business license applications for Indoor Cultivation, Manufacturing, Distribution, Testing, and Retail-Delivery Only as defined by Chapter 9.44 of the Santa Barbara Municipal Code – https://www.SantaBarbaraCA.gov/CCO. The City awarded all available Storefront Retail permits in summer 2018. No additional Storefront Retail permits will be awarded through this solicitation.

The formal solicitation opened on Monday, November 19th and will close on January 31st. Applications will only be accepted through PlanetBids, the City’s online portal. To apply for a Commercial Cannabis Business license, interested parties must first register with PlanetBids (https://www.SantaBarbaraCA.gov/PlanetBids)using category code 45300.

  1. I was told that the Derf’s at Mission & de la Vina and the old video store behind it were going to be a Pot Shop. ANYONE who has driven that intersection knows that adding a lot of left-turning eastward-traveling people on Mission to the usual mix of anxious rushing traffic will be a potential nightmare.

  2. PSTARSR. What kind of comparison is that? The Vid store there was popular and doing good business about 10 years ago. C’mon. And you’re proud of the fact that your place of employment has zero parking spaces? Let’s hear how that works for you. All employees ride bicycles or ride the bus to work?
