Southern California will be seeing a change in its weather pattern on April 20 and April 21 due to a low-pressure system entering the area.
This means rainfall, cold temperatures, and windy conditions are expected in the region until Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the weather system is scheduled to arrive late Monday, with rains spreading overnight into Tuesday.
Residents will experience cool temperatures, showers, and windy conditions, with calm weather expected by the mid-week.
Rains are expected to begin either in the late afternoon or evening hours on Monday, spreading southwards during the night to Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties.
The weather system will begin to scatter from Tuesday evening onwards, resulting in a reduced rainfall.
Dry weather conditions will prevail in the area from Wednesday onwards.

According to the forecast issued by the NWS, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties will experience rainfall ranging from 0.50 to 1.00 inches.
Santa Ynez Mountains will record rainfall up to 1.50 inches.
The rainfall in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties is expected to range from 0.10 to 0.50 inches. Isolated rainfall up to 0.75 inches will be recorded in the mountains of Ventura County.
There is also a 15% to 20% chance of storms on Tuesday in San Luis Obispo County, with a small chance of storms in the northern parts of Santa Barbara County.
The flood risks are very low due to medium precipitation. The precipitation levels are going to be low and below 0.25 inches per hour.
Wind will be another factor that will play a significant role in this weather pattern. Gusts from the southwest will be expected over the interiors between Monday and Tuesday.

The temperatures will fall as the system progresses. The temperatures will stay mild throughout Monday, but will start to drop by Tuesday, which will have temperatures about 4 to 8 degrees lower than usual.
By Wednesday, there will be some recovery in temperature levels, which will be close to normal. Towards the end of the week, temperatures will still remain slightly low.
The NWS issued a Small Craft Advisory for coastal areas, where winds will range from 15 to 25 kt and gusting up to 30 to 35 kt. This will affect the Central Coast region, particularly the nearshore and outer waters.
According to the weather agency, dry and mild weather will prevail from Thursday through Friday, where temperatures will range from low to mid-70s.
There will be a chance of light rain, less than half an inch, through the weekend as another low-pressure system moves in.

My gardens will welcome any and all rain that Mother Nature brings us!
Sorely disappointed. I was hoping for a real downpour. Not enough to flood/cause problems, but more than just the “rinse” we got.
