Someone was shooting off fireworks in the UCSB north county open space (formerly Ocean Meadows golf course). Three large fireworks shot off around 8:45. We don’t need that right now. People are stressed enough.
Illegal fireworks?

We heard them while we were sitting in the backyard last night. My dog was flipping out! I figured people were going to lose it. Not a great idea but at least the fire risk is low. Still, bad timing!
Probably all the college kids having an up-close & personal party. Remember the Millenials are immune from this nasty virus. Hah!
Would you rather they go up into the mountains and set off fireworks? Listen to the rain right now. Relax.
I would rather they didn’t do it at all.
Good thing they had to good sense to shoot off the fireworks from an open space after an uncommonly long rain period.
