A single-family home in Goleta caught fire on Saturday leaving one occupant with smoke inhalation injuries.
At 10:39 a.m., Santa Barbara County and Santa Barbara City firefighters responded to the 400 block of Camino Talavera near Lake Los Carneros for a reported structure fire.
Three occupants were home at the time of the fire. An adult male sustained smoke inhalation injuries and was transported to Goleta Valley Hospital by a ground ambulance for treatment.

Crews discovered a working fire in the garage that was extending into the main part of the home. They were able to stop the forward progress of the fire within thirty minutes, preventing further spread.
The fire was mostly contained to the garage with some extension into an adjacent bedroom. Smoke damage did occur throughout the inside of the home, but adajcent residences were not affected.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
