Hollywood Producer Charged with Multiple Counts of Sexual Assault

The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office has filed felony sexual assault charges against Hollywood Producer David Guillod.

District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that Guillod, 53-years-old of Sherman Oaks, is being charged with 11 felonies that include rape, kidnapping for rape, and rape of an unconscious and/or intoxicated person among several women.

On December 14, 2014, Jane Doe 1 was allegedly assaulted by Guillod within the County of Santa Barbara. Jane Doe 2 alleges she was also assaulted by Guillod on or about May 21, 2012 in the County of Los Angeles. Jane Doe 3 and Jane Doe 4 allege Guillod assaulted them on or between January 30 and January 31 in 2015 within the County of Los Angeles. 

Charges were filed after extensive investigations were conducted by the Santa Barbra County Sheriff’s Department and the Los Angeles Police Department, while working in conjunction with the District Attorneys of Santa Barbara County and Los Angeles County. The investigation began in 2017. After reviewing all the evidence, the Santa Barbara County District Attorney requested jurisdiction from the District Attorney of Los Angeles to prosecute 8 out of the 11 counts in Santa Barbara. 

This morning Guillod turned himself in to the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Headquarters were detectives arrested him where he is being held at Santa Barbara County Jail with bail set at 3 million dollars. The court has ordered that GPS be a term and condition of his bail, and has ordered that the defendant have no contact with the victims.   His arraignment date is yet to be determined.  If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a potential sentence of 21 years to life in prison. 

Guillod was a producer on such movies as Atomic Blonde and most recently, Netflix’s Extraction.
