Hiker Rescued from Hot Springs on Sunday

This past Sunday Search and Rescue responded to an injured hiker just off Hot Springs Trail on the Cold Spring connector trail.

The ankle injury to the hiker prevented them from placing weight on their foot and SAR, Montecito Fire and AMR responded to assist in the evacuation of the subject via stretcher and wheel to a high clearance SAR vehicle at the trail entrance on the fire road.

SBCSAR transported the injured subject and fire paramedic from the Hot Springs ruins down to the response staging area where it was determined the subject and their hiking partner would take themselves to seek further medical care.
