A hiker was airlifted from the Tunnel Road Trail on Sunday afternoon after reporting a medical complaint, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Fire officials said the rescue was initiated at 2:51 p.m. on Sunday, March 1. In an update, the department reported that a male in his 20s was rescued via hoist by County Fire helicopter H-308.
Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue and Santa Barbara City Fire personnel assisted at the scene.
No additional details about the hiker’s condition or transport were immediately released.
The department said further information will be provided as it becomes available.
