HIGHWAY 154 WILL REOPEN TWO LANES WITH INTERMITTENT LANE CLOSURES AS EMERGENCY REPAIR WORK CONTINUES

Caltrans will reopen two lanes of Hwy. 154 between San Antonio Creek Road and Painted Cave Road by end of day Friday, July 19, following repairs to pavement cracking discovered on June 21 during an ongoing emergency slip-out repair project.

Travelers will encounter intermittent lane closures Monday through Thursday between 9 am and 4 pm and Friday between 9 am and 12 pm to allow Caltrans to continue ongoing slide repair work and pavement reconstruction following a series of winter storms. During these lane closures, one-way reversing traffic control will be in place.

A reduced speed zone will be in effect until all repairs are complete. This project is expected to be complete in Winter 2024.

Travelers are encouraged to be aware of electronic message boards, flaggers and all highway workers within this work zone.

The contractor for this $10 million project is CalPortland Construction, Inc. of Santa Maria, CA.
