Highway 154 Reopens Following Traffic Collision

Highway 154 is now open in the Windy Gap area following a traffic incident this morning. US 101 is also fully open in the Dos Pueblos  area.

A traffic collision has shut down Highway 154 in both directions Wednesday morning.

At 8:25 a.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the 2300 block of Highway 154 and discovered a commercial truck and a sedan had collided. It appears the large utility truck had rolled over the sedan during the collision, according to the SBCFD.

Extrication is required for one critical patient and two other patients suffered minor injuries. 

The roadway is closed in both directions and it’s unknown when it will reopen. 

Highway 101 is also closed in both directions due to series of fatal collisions.
