Caltrans and California Highway Patrol (CHP) have reopened Highway 154 after being closed due to a small rockslide Sunday evening.

A vehicle was reported to be off the roadway just before 6:00 p.m. Crews on the scene believed the vehicle had collided with boulders and large rocks that slide onto the roadway.

  1. People follow each other way too closely !
There is a very simple rule in the driving code : the THREE SECOND rule.
Yet I have never seen ANY CHP enforce this rule.
By not doing so they are responsible for this kind of accidents !
    CHP ? Anyone there ??

  2. Isn’t the “three second rule” for food hitting the floor? I try to abide by one car length for every 10mph. Pretty impossible to do when driving Ventura/L.A. Hwy 101, but on north part of 101, Hwy 154, Foothill, Modoc, etc I do my very best to not be that tailgating, stupid and pushy driver so many seem to have become. Safety first.
