Highway 154 Passing Lane Closed Friday

Source: Caltrans

Caltrans will begin highway repairs on State Route 154 (Post Mile 27.3) between San Antonio Creek Road and Painted Cave Road on Friday, Dec. 20 at 9 am with roadwork continuing through the winter months.

Construction will establish additional catchment for roadside ditches downslope of the Cave Fire burn scar, resulting in a temporary reduction of the westbound passing lane due to placement of k-rail (concrete barrier).

Electronic message signs will be posted to advise motorists who should experience only minor traffic delays.

The contractor for this $1.3 million emergency project is Granite Construction of Santa Barbara, CA.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
