A vehicle fire off Highway 101 in Goleta spread to nearby brush prompting a response from Santa Barbara County firefighters.
At 4:00 p.m. Monday, crews arrived at the southbound Patterson Ave on-ramp for a reported vehicle fire. When they arrived they discovered the fire had partially extended to nearby brush.

The vehicle, described as a passenger van, had two occupants that had self-extricated prior to firefighter’s arrival.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish the brush fire from spreading further and extinguish the vehicle.
There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation.
