Highway 101 Southbound Lanes Open Following Crash

The southbound lanes of US Highway 101 are NOW OPEN near the Arroyo Hondo Bridge, five miles south of Gaviota after a big-rig truck was involved in a traffic accident this morning.

Location:    Southbound US Highway 101 Near Gaviota in Santa Barbara County
  
The southbound lanes of US Highway 101 are closed near the Arroyo Hondo Bridge, five miles south of Gaviota after a big-rig truck was involved in a traffic accident. The truck is now on an embankment adjacent to the highway.
 
Motorists headed southbound on US 101 are being detoured onto Highway 154 between Santa Ynez and Santa Barbara. The northbound lanes of US Highway 101 remain open near the scene of the accident.
 
Estimated Time of Opening: It is estimated the highway will re-open at approximately 4 pm. CHP Traffic Incident Information Page: http://cad.chp.ca.gov

A tanker truck crashed into the guardrail and center divider on Highway 101 southbound at the Arroyo Hondo Bridge.
