A two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 101 Northbound, near Winchester Canyon, resulting in injuries and a temporary highway closure.
Santa Barbara County Fire Department reported receiving a call at 7:57 p.m. on Monday concerning the incident. Emergency teams swiftly arrived at the site of the collision to attend to the victims.
The occupants of the first vehicle involved in the accident comprised two adults and two minors. All four patients from this vehicle were quickly attended to and transported by two separate ambulances to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital’s Emergency Room for treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the second vehicle, identified as a sole adult male occupant, declined medical treatment at the scene.

As a result of the collision, Highway 101 Northbound was closed to traffic for a period of time. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
