The southbound on-ramp, No. 1 (left) and No. 2 (center) lanes of US Highway 101 will be closed between Fairview Avenue and Patterson Avenue during the overnight hours on Thursday, Jan. 30 from 8 pm until 6 am.
This emergency ramp and lane closure is necessary to allow Caltrans to add two drainage inlets on the southbound shoulder of the highway. This roadwork will include a grind and pave operation.
Motorists headed southbound may exit US 101 at South Patterson Avenue. Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 15 minutes. Lane/Ramp closures will continue next week Monday through Thursday from 9 am until 4 pm and on Friday from 9 am until 2 pm.
The contractor for this $270,000 project is CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria, CA. All work should be complete in mid-February, weather permitting.

Jan 28, 2020 12:46 PMThere's going to be "more fun" on the horizon for the 101 when Cal Trans closes the Gaviota Rest Stops for a full year to repair the water problems. It seems the problem starts at the state park close by and it's a constant source of problems.
