Several collisions have slowed down traffic on the South Coast on Friday, November 14, as a rainstorm moves through the region.
Around 10:40 a.m., California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a collision on Highway 101 northbound, south of Padaro Lane for a vehicle into the center divider. Traffic was temporarily shut down to remove the white Audi SUV from the center divider.
Approximately ten minutes later, the number one and two lanes were reopened for flowing traffic.
In the other direction, Highway 101 southbound near Padaro Lane, CHP reports a two vehicle crash on the right side of the highway around 11:00 a.m.
The collision is between a sedan and Fritos box truck in the slow lane with debris in the middle lane, CHP reports.
At 11:24 a.m. a white BMW sedan crashed off the roadway on Highway 101 north, just north of the SR-154 onramp near Zaca Creek Road.
CHP also reports mud, dirt, and rocks near the SR-33 and SR-166 interchange in Santa Maria.
