A vehicle collision on Highway 101 southbound north of Buellton has closed one southbound lane on Wednesday morning.
Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to the area near Jonata Park at 6:00 a.m. for a reported two-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a pickup truck had crashed into the back of a commercial semi-truck.
The driver of the pickup self-extricated from the wreckage and was transported by ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck denied having any injuries and rejected a transport to the emergency room.
California Highway Patrol closed the number two southbound lane of Highway 101 for vehicle separation and towing operations. As of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, this lane has reopened.
