Highway 101 Center Divider Fire Near El Capitan

A center divider fire broke out on Highway 101 near El Capitan on Wednesday evening.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the fire after 9:00 p.m. just south of El Capitan Ranch Road.

CHP units managed to put the fire out and Santa Barbara County fire crews are on the scene mopping up.

Emergency vehicles are in the number one lane and motorists are advised to be cautious when traveling in the area.
