Construction has been completed on the US 101 San Jose Creek Bridge Project with two lanes open for travel in each direction within its original configuration.
The contractor for this $20 million dollar project is MCM Construction Inc of North Highlands, CA.
A project to replace the San Jose Creek Bridge on State Route 217 is continuing.

The eastbound SR 217 on-ramp at Sandspit Road remains closed for the duration of this project. Travelers exiting the Santa Barbara Airport can access Fairview Avenue and Hollister Avenue to reach US 101. Electronic message boards have been activated to assist airport visitors.
Travelers will encounter one lane open in each direction during this phase of the project.
A renovated bike path adjacent to the bridge remains under construction which is wider and includes new railing.
The contractor for this $26 million project is MCM. Construction, Inc. of North Highlands, CA. This project is expected to be complete in Summer 2026 which includes a plant establishment period.
