ZooLights returned to the Santa Barbara Zoo for its fourth spectacular run on November 12, 2025 through January 11, 2026, proving once again why it is a local holiday favorite.
Guests stepped into an immersive glowing wonderland featuring more than 50,000 LED bulbs and thousands of handcrafted silk lanterns.
The journey took visitors across the globe, with stunning animal displays representing Africa, the Arctic, Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania.
This joyful, after-hours experience—made possible by our local sponsors—offered families a magical nighttime walk through a brilliantly illuminated Zoo. Below are a few of my favorite displays.

Thanks Ron – great photos. My favorite was from the link provided “Pano1952-7.jpg”, as I appreciated the complete framing of that area.

Thanks bicylist—you are quite perceptive. It was a 6-frame handheld pano—that was the only way I could attempt to convey the impact of the scene.
