A small helicopter crashed at Santa Ynez Airport late Friday afternoon, leaving its sole occupant with minor injuries, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The incident was reported at 5:03 p.m. on Friday, March 13.
The occupant was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance, officials said.
The airport was temporarily shut down following the crash and reopened by 7:00 p.m. All Santa Barbara County Fire resources have since cleared the scene.
No additional details were immediately available.
