Head-on Collision Injures Four Near Highway 135

A head-on collision involving two vehicles injured four people on Harris Grade Road on Monday afternoon.

At 4:58 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the scene approximately 1.5 miles from Highway 135. Crews discovered two vehicles that both sustained major damage with heavy extrication needed for all four motorists. 

All motorists were injured, one sustained critical injuries and was flown to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital via CalStar 7. Two people sustained moderate injuries and one person minor injuries, all of which were transported via ambulance to local hospitals. 

Harris Grade Road is currently closed at Highway 135 while law enforcement conducts an investigation.
