Hawaii or Santa Barbara?

Here are a few photos I took flying Thursday. From the air, Santa Barbara County looked more like Hawaii than California!

The rainbow shot was taken near Jalama Road and Highway 1 on approach into Vandenberg Air Force Base at about 3,000 feet.  Crossing the Santa Ynez Mountains southbound to Santa Barbara Airport, it was a frigid 10°F at 9,000 feet. Flying over the Reagan Ranch we passed some light snow and freezing rain only to break out of the gloom to find the South Coast looking more like The Big Island!
