Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder
On April 12, 2025, at 4:31 pm, Santa Barbara Police Detectives served an arrest warrant on thirty-six-year-old Goleta resident Eduardo Zermano-Arzate, who was located on the 1300 block of Dahlia Ct. in Carpinteria.
Zermano-Arzate was taken into custody without incident, along with thirty-seven-year-old Goleta resident Alexis Garcia, who was arrested for being an accessory to attempted murder by aiding and harboring Zermano-Arzate.
Zermano-Arzate’s arrest stemmed from an incident that occurred on April 6, 2025, when a victim arrived at Cottage Hospital in critical condition with multiple stab wounds. It was later discovered the victim had been involved in a fight involving numerous subjects and was stabbed in the street shortly after 2:00 pm on the 3100 block of State St.
It is believed that Zermano-Arzate stabbed the victim multiple times during the fight and then walked away from the scene.
Zermano-Arzate was arrested for attempted murder and assault with intent to commit mayhem.
Garcia was arrested for being an accessory to an attempted murder, and both subjects were booked into Santa Barbara County Jail. Zermano-Arzate was booked on a no-bail warrant while Garcia’s bail was set at $20,000.
This investigation is still ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.

Great day ! got a suspect-$20,000 bail for the harboring of a killer, that’s screwed up( they should keep both in the same cell). So close to home, has anybody mentioned suspect immig status( that’s Taboo) no bail makes a statement ( sad it comes to this once again-we usually don’t even hear about it )
Try that in English. Better yet, don’t comment when intoxicated.
Too bad Biden didnt get the runs again
ship the stabber off to prison in El Salvador!
OOPS – so now we should be shipping off all violent criminals to El Salvador?
Should we also send the J6 rioters who were charged and sentenced for beating cops?
How about the guy who just tried to kill Governor Shapiro?
Please do tell. Who all should be sent to a third world prison besides innocent men accused without evidence of being in a gang?
