Love that the tradition is carried on with this pooch! Such fun!
One of the BEST things about our city!! Thank you, pooch!
That dog’s been there as long as I can remember. Someone had a genius idea to have that made and place it there. I’d be curious to know the history behind it. I think there was a local article years back about it somewhere.
For someone who claims to be local, you must not pay much attention.
What?? That’s weird.
Detailed histories of the Crocker dog, as I think of him, have been published here and in the SB News Press (decades ago) and I assume in the Independent.
What’s weird is wanting to know the detailed history of the dog behind it.
We mean: What’s weird is not knowing or not easily looking up the detailed history of the dog statue.
Noozhawk has also covered it, probably KEYT too
When we were younger we called him “El Poocho” when going by.
