Fundraiser Created for Wife of Traffic Collision Victim

An online fundraiser has been created for the wife of the man who was killed in a traffic collision a few days after Christmas.

Hunter Hernandez, 30 of Ventura County, was driving on Highway 101 southbound when his vehicle collided with a tree near the Mission Street exit in Santa Barbara on December 29, 2021.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.

Family members have created a GoFundMe account to raise funds to cover expenses for Hernandez’s wife Lauren, who he married just a few months prior.

“Hunter was a special human – so full of kindness and compassion, always there to share his infectious laugh and big bear hugs with his friends and family. We miss him terribly and know you do as well,” the fundraiser stated.
