Four Juveniles were arrested after participating in a gang related assault at a public park, in which two of the suspects kicked the victim while on the ground causing injury. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

During the morning of September 10th, 2025, the Thousand Oaks Police Department Community Resource Unit was made aware of a gang related incident that had occurred at a local public park on September 9th, 2025.  Subsequently, the Thousand Oaks Police Department Community Resource Unit and East County Special Enforcement Unit began investigating the incident. Investigators were able to positively identify all four juvenile suspects involved in the assault.

On September 24th, 2025, Detectives served multiple residential search warrants in the City of Thousand Oaks and the City of Simi valley.  One of the juveniles was arrested in the City of Thousand Oaks and two of the juveniles were arrested in the City of Simi Valley.  On October 3rd, 2025, the final juvenile was arrested in the City of Thousand Oaks.   All four juvenile suspects are documented members of a local criminal street gang.

The four juveniles were lodged at the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center on charges of 245(a)(4)PC, Assault with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury, 182(a)(1)PC, Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, and 186.22(a)PC, Street Terrorism.

The East County Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) consists of seven detectives who focus their efforts on making Thousand Oaks a safe community by actively investigating crime and pursuing suspects. SEU also works to closely monitor and suppress gang activity. The Thousand Oaks Police Department takes a zero-tolerance stance against gang violence and encourages anyone with information regarding criminal or gang activity to notify Sheriff’s Dispatch by calling 911, or (805) 654-9511 in non-emergencies.
