Four Injured in Santa Maria Traffic Collision

Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle traffic collision west of Santa Maria early Friday morning.

At 6:05 a.m., the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, Santa Maria City Fire Department, AMR ground ambulance, and a CalStar helicopter responded to the 2700 block of W. Main Street.

Crews discovered three vehicles involved, one vehicle landed in a ditch with several people inside who required extrication. There were a total of four people injured transported to Marian Medical by ground ambulance or Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by CalStar helicopter. 

There were traffic restrictions in the area and law enforcement is investigating the cause of the collision.
