Does anyone know when local pharmacies will be able to give out this season's flu shot?

Flu Shot Schedule?

I think it should be available in the next month, i remember it being around when school started in the Fall.

Flu Shot Schedule?

It is already available, they offered it to me at CVS this week when I was there for a prescription.

Yes, it is available now; CVS was asking pharmacy customers if they wanted it on Monday.

If we are going to be getting booster COVID-19 vaccines is it wise to keep a space between that medicine and the traditional flu shot?

Flu Shot Schedule?

VERY good idea to get it soon if you may be in line for the covid booster, since those start in a couple of weeks and can't be given w/in 2 weeks of another vaccine (e.g. flu). Walgreens on Calle Real at Encino(?) near TJ's in Goleta has them. You can walk in, and it's probably comparable to the appointment we made online for ours this week. Took about half an hour for the two of us, and it took two friends who got theirs walk-in about the same. Unlike CVS they have a little booth for vaccines, and having gone to CVS downtown once we found it vastly better. Sansum's by far the best, but they don't even take appointments for flu shots until the 7th.

Flu Shot Schedule?

I had a quad flu shot a couple weeks ago. Yes, they recommend waiting between a flu shot and a Covid19 shot. How long? Depends on which flu shot and several other factors. Good to talk to your pharmacist.

Flu Shot Schedule?

The fact that some of the flu shots are available now does not necessarily mean that this is the best time for everyone to get it. Immunity fades eventually, and our county has a later flu season. (It's usually arrives late October/early Nov, but can last through Apr/May.) If you're planning to travel to or have visitors from the East before then, you might want to get it sooner, but I usually wait until October to get mine. Of course, speak to your personal physician , but I wouldn't rush for the flu shot. I would, however recommend getting the COVID vaccine asap. It's been determined that there's no need to wait 2 weeks between COVID vaccine and other vaccines.
