I can understand how, to an uneducated audience member, flamenco would be hard to take. I used to feel that way about jazz; [my parents felt the same way about rock and roll!- it all sounds the same]
I thought jazz was just a bunch of discordant, random, repetitive notes that were dissonant, abrasive and pointless?! Until I studied it a little, listened a lot and discovered nothing could be further from the truth. There are vast variations of jazz styles, and while I prefer some over others, they are truly amazing! Just as there are many styles of rock and roll and classical music, there is a very broad spectrum of songs and dances within the genre of flamenco. Additionally, once you know the history of the art, it becomes sublime . Music is like food - some is an acquired taste!

I can appreciate all the time and effort these artists put in, but I can only listen and watch for three minutes ...max. To me, it is the same repetitive foot stomping, clapping, and dance moves over and over..each eternal song and dance is nearly identical to the next. I know, I know: if I don't like it then don't watch it!!!

And don't whine about it here. I mean really, what the hell is the point of your comment? Why would anyone possibly care?
