Santa Barbara County Firefighters stopped the forward progress of two spot fires in Santa Maria on Thursday.
Late in the afternoon crews responded to two spot fires along the northbound lanes near Clark Ave.
The fires were in light fuel areas and moving at a slow rate of spread. Forward progress was stopped at 5:07 p.m. Thursday.
The cause is under investigation.
